These are the questions clinic owners ask us most — in discovery calls, WhatsApp messages, and emails — before deciding whether to invest in digital marketing. We have answered all of them here, without the vagueness most agencies rely on.
Results and timelines
How long before I see results from digital marketing?
For Google Ads: first patient enquiries typically arrive within 7-14 days of campaign launch. For SEO and Google Maps: meaningful organic traffic starts appearing in Month 3-4 and compounds from there. For WhatsApp automation: active from Day 7, converting enquiries from the moment it goes live. Most clinics see a measurable increase in new patient enquiries within 30-45 days of starting with Medscale.
How many new patients will I get per month?
This depends on your specialty, city, budget, and consultation conversion rate. What we can control is the number of qualified enquiries — patients who call or message specifically about your treatments. For a dermatology or aesthetic clinic spending Rs. 20,000-25,000 per month on Google Ads, a realistic target is 15-30 patient enquiries per month by Month 2-3. What happens after the enquiry arrives depends on your team's follow-up process — which is why we set up WhatsApp automation to handle that part.
My clinic is new and has no Google reviews yet. Can digital marketing still work?
Yes. Google Ads works regardless of how many reviews you have — you pay for the click and the patient sees your landing page. What does matter is your website and landing page quality. We will review and improve these in the first week. For Google Maps and local SEO, reviews matter more — but we build a systematic review collection process from Day 1 so your profile grows quickly. Most new clinics reach 20+ reviews within the first 60-90 days of working with us.
What results have you achieved for other clinics?
We are a 38-day-old company with 21 published articles, 361 organic impressions, and a 4.7% CTR from zero — all without running a single paid ad for ourselves. We work exclusively with aesthetic clinics and dermatology practices and bring India-specific healthcare marketing expertise to every engagement. We will share our GSC data and campaign benchmarks on a strategy call so you can make a fully informed decision.
Cost and contracts
What does Medscale charge?
Our retainers start at
Rs. 20,000 per month for a starter engagement covering Google Ads management, local SEO, and WhatsApp automation setup. Growth packages for multi-channel campaigns start at Rs. 40,000 per month. Ad spend is billed directly to your card by Google and Meta — we never touch your ad budget. See our full pricing guide:
How Much Does Digital Marketing Cost for Clinics in India?
Is there a lock-in contract?
No. 30 days notice by WhatsApp or email. We earn your continued business every month through results. We do not lock clients in because we do not need to — clinics that see results stay. If you are not happy after 60 days and results are not improving, we will discuss it openly and you can leave with no penalty.
Why do you charge separately for ad spend?
Because your ad budget belongs to you. The money you spend on Google Ads goes directly to Google, billed to your clinic's card. We never receive it, never mark it up, and never take a percentage of it. Our management fee covers our time and expertise. Any agency that bundles agency fees and ad spend together is taking a cut of your advertising budget — which creates a conflict of interest where they benefit from you spending more, not less.
Do I need a minimum ad spend budget?
For Google Ads to generate meaningful data and results, a minimum of Rs. 10,000-12,000 per month in ad spend is needed. Below this, there are not enough clicks to optimise campaigns. We recommend Rs. 15,000-20,000 per month in Google Ads spend for a single-specialty clinic in a Tier 1 city. We will tell you the realistic budget for your specific situation on the strategy call.
Process and what to expect
What happens in the first week after I sign up?
Day 1-2: you receive our onboarding document and grant us manager access to your Google Ads, Meta, and GBP accounts. Day 3-5: we complete keyword research and share it for your approval. Day 6-7: Google Ads campaigns go live. Day 7: WhatsApp automation is active. Day 10: first performance check — we review early data and make adjustments. You will know exactly what is happening and why at every step.
How much of my time does this require?
Minimal after the first week. The onboarding phase (Week 1) requires your active input — providing access, answering our information questionnaire, approving keyword lists. After that: 30-60 minutes per month for the strategy call and reviewing reports. We handle everything else. You focus on consultations. We handle patient acquisition.
Do I need a good website before starting?
Not necessarily. We review your existing website in Week 1 and identify what needs fixing for ads to convert. If your website has critical issues — slow loading, no mobile optimisation, no clear CTA — we will flag these and can fix them as part of onboarding. If your site is too poor to convert paid traffic, we will build a dedicated landing page before launching ads. We will never run ads to a page that will not convert.
Will I be able to see what you are doing with my ad budget?
Yes — completely. Your Google Ads account is in your name. You can log in at any time and see every campaign, every keyword, every rupee spent. We share weekly WhatsApp updates every Friday and a full monthly report on the first Monday of each month. You will always know your cost per enquiry, number of enquiries, and what we changed that week.
Healthcare compliance
Can dermatology and aesthetic clinics legally run Google Ads in India?
Yes. Aesthetic clinics and dermatology practices can run Google Ads in India, subject to Google's healthcare advertising policies and MCI guidelines. The restrictions primarily cover outcome guarantees ("guaranteed results"), before-and-after imagery in ads (allowed on landing pages but restricted in the ads themselves), and claims about specific medical outcomes. We know these guidelines thoroughly — all our campaigns are built to be fully compliant and we have never had a client account suspended for policy violations.
What can and cannot be said in clinic ads?
You can say: the treatments you offer, your location, consultation availability, patient testimonials (with consent), doctor credentials, years of experience, and general outcomes ("most patients see improvement within X weeks"). You cannot say: guaranteed results, "best clinic in India," specific cure claims, or anything that could be considered misleading about medical outcomes. We write all ad copy with these constraints built in — you never need to worry about compliance.
We tried digital marketing before and it did not work. Why would this be different?
The most common reasons clinic digital marketing fails: the agency did not specialise in healthcare, the ad accounts were owned by the agency (so you could not see what was happening), the campaign targeted the wrong keywords (branded terms instead of treatment terms), the landing page was the homepage instead of a dedicated treatment page, or the budget was too low to generate enough data for optimisation. We address all of these in Month 1. If you can tell us what the previous agency did, we will show you specifically what we would do differently.
